What does this mean?  

• FDA Cleared:  Means having gone through clinical trials to prove their device does what it says it's supposed to do including the 510K process and for what indications it is cleared for.  Ask for the K# to verify! 
• FDA Approved: Reserved for the highest risk Pre-Market Approval devices which a PMA has to be obtained before marketing the product.  Buyer beware - ask for the PMA! 
• FDA Registered: means the company filled out paperwork and paid a fee.  It communicates no authenticity, validity, or FDA goodwill.  Basically, this means nothing!
